The ANPED International Secretariat organises Annual General Meetings (AGM) yearly. The Annual General Meeting is the main decision making body of the network. The AGM business meeting deals with the nomination of candidate members of the international board, the approval of the annual activity report and financial accounts and has to approve the draft work programme for the following year. Furthermore it is the forum where the establishment of new issue-related working groups are proposed and approved, where decisions are taken on new membership applications and where new policy goals and long term strategies are discussed and formulated.
At AGMs, the various working groups have an opportunity to present their progress to the rest of the ANPED network members and share their experiences. In principle every ANPED AGM is preceded by a two day conference on a specific overarching subject.
